Cruise Boats

Akaroa is a beautiful Harbour with great scenery and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the wild life. There are seals, penguins, albatross and the worlds smallest and rarest dolphin – the Hector Dolphin.

We can provide harbour tours and fishing trips for those that arrive by sea on a cruise ship.

We can collect and return from the main wharf so you can step off your ship straight on to your sight seeing vessel.

In addition, Akaroa can provide the following activities for the Cruise passenger.

For those wanting some activities to do

- Wine, Cheese and Beer tasting at The Stables cafe/bar

- Sailing

- Guided town walks

- Kayaking

- Mail run tours of the outer bays

- Penguin colony tours

Akaroa holds a unique place in the history of New Zealand, along with the scenery and the historic buildings, this is a great place to unwind. The early French settlers have created a French flavour reflected in the buildings and atmosphere. There is a huge array of Cafe’s, Restaurants and Bars to sit at and absorb this flavour.

Many Cruisers get on a bus for 8 hours and go to Christchurch. Why not stay in Akaroa, relax, shop, wine and dine.

Enjoy your stay.
